2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Cross Paste to:

• Transfer or distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Share illegal content including CSAM, pirated materials, or stolen data
• Facilitate fraud, phishing, or identity theft
• Circumvent digital rights management or copy protection
• Harass, threaten, or harm others
• Violate export control laws or sanctions
• Overload or attack our infrastructure (DDoS, etc.)

3. Content Restrictions

While we cannot see your encrypted content, you are responsible for ensuring that any content you sync through Cross Paste complies with applicable laws and these terms. Prohibited content includes:

• Content that violates intellectual property rights (copyrighted material, trademarks, etc.)
• Personal information of others without consent (doxing, identity theft)
• Content that promotes violence, hate speech, or discrimination
• Spam, phishing attempts, or fraudulent schemes
• Content related to illegal activities or services

4. Fair Use

Free tier users are subject to reasonable usage limits. Automated mass-syncing or abuse of the Service may result in rate limiting or account suspension.

Usage Limits

• Free Tier: Limited to reasonable personal use. We reserve the right to implement rate limits to ensure fair access for all users.
• Pro Tier: Higher usage limits for legitimate use cases. Commercial use is permitted with a Pro subscription.

Prohibited Activities

• Automated scripts or bots that generate excessive sync requests
• Attempting to overload or disrupt the Service infrastructure
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code
• Using the Service to test security vulnerabilities without authorization

5. Commercial Use

Commercial use of Cross Paste requires a Pro subscription. Commercial use includes:

• Use by businesses or organizations
• Use for commercial purposes or profit
• Resale or redistribution of the Service

If you are using Cross Paste for commercial purposes without a Pro subscription, we may suspend or terminate your account.

6. Security and Access

You agree not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
• Use the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Attempt to bypass security measures or encryption
• Share your Recovery Key or device credentials with unauthorized parties

7. Reporting Violations

• Description of the violation
• Relevant evidence or documentation
• Your contact information (optional, for follow-up)

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We may not be able to share details of our investigation or actions taken due to privacy and security considerations.

• Issuing warnings
• Temporary suspension of access
• Permanent termination of account
• Legal action if necessary

Enforcement actions are taken at our sole discretion and may be based on:

• Automated detection systems
• Legal requirements or court orders

We are not obligated to provide notice before taking enforcement action, especially in cases of severe violations or security threats.
